Just consider a loop of wire that forms a complete circle. We will see that the direction of current at point A is in the upward direction and the current at point B is in the downward direction.
Fix it on a cardboard with half loop above the cardboard and half below it. Join the free ends to a battery source through a switch and pass current through it. The wire passes through the cardboard at two points A and B. Using a Magnetic compass draw the magnetic field lines around the two points above the cardboard.
The lines are nearly concentric circles centered on the point through which the wire passes. The concentric circles representing the magnetic field around it would become larger and larger as we move away from the wire. By the time we reach at the centre of the circular loop, the arcs of these big circles would appear as straight lines. The lines near the centre of the loop are almost straight
Every point on the wire carrying current would give rise to the magnetic field appearing as straight lines at the center of the loop. By applying the right hand rule, it is easy to check that every section of the wire contributes to the magnetic field lines in the same direction within the loop. It can be noted that magnetic field at the centre of the loop is perpendicular to the plane of the loop.
The magnetic field produced by current carrying circular wire at a given point depends on the following factors:
1. Amount of current flowing through a wire The strength of magnetic field (B) due to a current carrying circular wire is directly proportional to the amount of current (I) flowing through it.

2. Number of turns of the circular wire The strength of the magnetic field due to a current carrying circular wire is directly proportional to the number of turns (N) of the wire.
i.e. ......(ii)
Thus, the strength of magnetic field produced by a current circular coil can be increased by
(a) increasing the number of turns of wire in the coil.
(b) increasing the current flowing through the coil.
(c) decreasing the radius of the soil.
